I agree that a spectre lies over baseball today and that spectre is the accusation of steroids, but unlike Sports Illustrated I don't judge first and ask questions later. I have a detailed opinion about this which I will share later, but the short version is that the "supplement" tragedy feeds the pride of those designated sitters who "know" they could have hit a career .300+ average like Piazza if only they used Steroids.

More to come later. I love baseball. I am beginning to hate SI and ESPN. If they have PROOF release it, but Derrick Turnbow isn't proof. He uses a legal supplement. Legal, but banned by the Olympics. Of course, caffeine in high quantities is banned by the Olympic committee.
